Welcome to the Pimiskatan-La Ronge Canoe Club. Pimiskatan means “Let’s paddle!” in Cree. The canoe club is located along the calm, sheltered, and picturesque McGibbon Bay at Eagle Point Marina.
Benefits
One of the main benefits of joining the canoe club for a very reasonable fee are the use of canoes for free all season! The club also hosts weekly learn-to-race nights every Wednesday at 7pm sharp and weekly recreation paddles/learn-to-paddles every Thursday at 7pm. You don’t have to be a member to participate in these learn-to’s but you must be a member to use club canoes for insurance purposes and you must have an Eagle Point Marina parking pass (passes are included in membership, otherwise you can purchase one at the marina). You are welcome to bring your own canoe to paddle on Wed/Thurs learn-to’s.
